Lockeford Grange seeks new members

By News-Sentinel staff

The members of the Lockeford Grange want to meet their neighbors.

The Grange is conducting a membership drive in the Lockeford area and encourages new membership in the month of April with free dues for the rest of the year after an application fee of $10.

The Grange organization has been in existence for more than 135 years, and the Lockeford group has been meeting for 67 years.

The organization supports community programs such as STARS, as well as the Lockeford School Computer Program, the Hanot Home for the Developmentally Disabled, and the Mokelumne Fire Department.

Fees help support efforts such as the Youth Fair program, legislative programs, women’s activities, awareness of the hearing impaired, and many others.
